"This book is excellent! I am going to recommend it to my students at Lake Region Middle School. I truly enjoyed getting to know all of the unique characters in the story. Each chapter is an adventure that takes you on a full circle journey that will leave you saying, 'When is the next book coming out?' Well done, Mr. Berry!"

"Just awesome, Chris! We just gave our kids
copies and can't wait to discuss it with them. We both loved all the
characters, but really loved Mr. Wick."

"We loved how your words and flow brought the story
to life and we can envision watching it on the big screen and have been
discussing who should do the voices. We read it out loud to each other
and can't wait for book two."

Trane Team Member’s Book Takes Flight
By Geoffrey MacDonald
J.K. Rowling, Stephen King, John Grisham and C.J. Berry.
That’s right; Trane’s very own C.J. Berry, aka Chris Berry, joins the great list of published authors. Besides being a top-notch business development manager in our Trane Solutions Group, Chris has moonlighted as a writer for the past few years and in early October had his first novel published by CreateSpace.
His novel, “Aves – The Age of Engagement,” is a fantasy story meant for independent readers, which is the same target demographic for the Harry Potter series. His inspiration comes from his fifth-grade teacher, Mrs. Sanborn, who instilled an appreciation of the great outdoors and a lifelong love of reading.
Getting his novel published was more than simply checking off an item on his bucket list. This is a serious venture for Chris and he looks at “Aves” as the first of a series. He worked with one of the most accomplished illustrators in Colorado, Laura G. Young, and a top-notch editor, Aimee Heckel, a staff writer at Boulder, Colorado’s daily paper, the Daily Camera. Chris’ efforts have already begun to pay off. He recently had a glowing review by the Longmont Times-Call:
“Berry is a lifelong bird-watcher, and his love for birds comes through the anatomical and behavioral details that enrich the narrative. Berry has a cinematic way of conjuring up his bird world. The natural environment his characters inhabit comes to life in the mind’s eye. He also stays on task. He mostly refrains from digression and keeps the plot flying forward.”
